LiskHeard is a creative research project that will culminate in a verbatim play (or series of community-written plays) crafted and inspired by the words of Liskeard’s residents and visitors. 

I plan to conduct this project under the Theatrabilia brand.

Theatrabilia is my platform to develop new writing and explore theatre history through the lens of my collection. In 2024, the Theatrabilia Writers’ Hub and memorabilia shop opened in Fore Street, Liskeard, as a venue to support fellow playwrights and the local community in crafting their life stories for the stage. 

I am passionate about how the history of theatre interconnects with our current practices as makers and creatives. 

In conjunction with the local burgeoning arts and heritage communities, it’s a blessing to have the opportunity to bring my own experiences and perspective to this supportive network via my work as a playwright. 

LiskHeard is a chance for the local community to explore their stories within collaborative, compassionate spaces and to have their life experiences heard and reflected on stage.
